Arsenal want Manchester City star Gundogan as Xhaka’s replacement
Ilkay Gundogan, a German midfielder, is expected to draw interest from Arsenal, Manchester City, and Barcelona.

Ilkay Gundogan’s contract negotiations with Manchester City are reportedly being monitored by Arsenal, who would be eager to sign the German midfielder if they lost Granit Xhaka this summer.
Gundogan would suit Arsenal well.
Gundogan has contributed significantly to Manchester City’s dominance of the Premier League during his time with the team. He helped the Cityzens win the 2022–23 league championship with eight goals and five assists in 30 games, narrowly defeating Arsenal in the process.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of the Arsenal, has reportedly expressed interest in signing the 32-year-old midfielder when his contract expires in the summer as a result of his recent performances.
Gundogan is thought of as a potential replacement for Granit Xhaka, who Arsenal may lose in the summer, according to reports.
Arsenal is up against rivals for Gundogan.
Arteta and Gundogan previously collaborated while the Gunners’ head coach served as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City between 2016 and 2019. The former Arsenal and Everton midfielder will be hoping to reunite with the German midfielder once more.

The 32-year-old midfielder is a target for Barcelona, who are also interested in acquiring him from Manchester City.
Gundogan has not yet made a decision regarding his future, and he may decide to extend his contract with Manchester City.
