Chelsea FC has ended Salzburg’s 40 games record following their UEFA Champions League victory over the Austrian champions.
Against all odds, the blues defeated the Austrian champions in the group stage fixture Salzburg vs Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League to put an end to the 40 matches unbeaten run of Salburg.
Graham Potter’s men had secured a 2-1 victory over Salzburg to secure their knockout stages ticket and ended the unbeaten run that lasted for over 10 months. Goals from Havertz in the 64th minute and Kovacic in the 23rd minute secured all three points for the blues and also secured their top-spot position in their group.
This victory comes right after two back-to-back premier league draws for the blues.
