Court slaps Juventus with 10-point deduction
Juventus’ revised punishment for their capital gains scandal includes a 10-point deduction.

Following today’s court hearing for their capital gains case, Juventus has now been docked 10 points.
The Serie A powerhouses were charged with engaging in illegal creative accounting after being linked to a financial misrepresentation scandal.
Juventus drops to seventh place.
The Old Lady had previously been penalized 15 points in a preliminary court proceeding, which caused them to drop to the middle of the Serie A standings.
However, the club appealed this ruling, and their temporarily lost points were restored.
After a trial today, they were given a 10-point deduction for the case, which had previously been appealed to the FIGC court.
The FIGC prosecutor asked for an 11-point deduction, which was reduced from the original 15 points to ten.
Exactly what this implies for Juventus.
They now have 59 points, which puts them seventh on the log outside of the European positions after this new deduction.
However, if they defeat Empoli tonight, they will be four points behind Inter in third place, two points behind AC Milan in fourth, and ahead of Atalanta and Roma in fifth and sixth, respectively.
The Old Lady, however, still has a chance to qualify for the Champions League because a victory in their next three matches, which includes a match against AC Milan, guarantees that they will place in the top four.
