The manager of Manchester United Football Club, Erik Ten Hag, has reflected on Cristiano Ronaldo‘s performance in the club’s Europa League game.
The Dutchman was speaking after the Red Devils game against Omonia in Cyprus on Thursday, October 6th, 2022. According to Ten Hag, Ronaldo was unlucky not to have found the back of the net despite hott8jh the post towards the end of the game.
I think they were on target as well. The first two, good saves from the goalie, so he had a couple of chances, he created a couple of chances. He was involved with a good run with the first goal for Marcus Rashford, so he had an impact in this game. I think we created a lot of chances tonight, we count them only in the first half already 14, so there was a lot of threat to the opponent’s goal.
Ronaldo has been in search of his 700th career club goal but has not been able to find the back of the net. The last time he scored a goal in open play was against Chelsea last season. United stayed in Cyprus overnight and will have their full training session on the island rather than at their Carrington training complex ahead of the fixture at Goodison Park.
