Cristiano Ronaldo and Erik Ten Hag have been the centre of conversation around the world of football following the incident in the game against Tottenham.
There was footage of Ronaldo leaving the pitch for the dressing room before the final whistle of the game which was played on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022. The initial belief of football fans was that Ten Hag decided to leave Ronaldo out of the game and which did not go down well with the Portugal International.
However, reports coming from Old Trafford confirmed that Ten Hag asked Ronaldo to come in as a substitute but the player decided not to obey his manager. Manchester United has released an official statement to confirm that Ronaldo will not be part of the team to play Chelsea on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
Ronaldo might leave the club during the January transfer window just months before his contract expires.
