The manager of Liverpool Football Club, Jurgen Klopp has made a weird comparison of his team’s poor form to that of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The German was speaking ahead of the Reds UEFA Champions League game against Rangers on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022. According to Klopp, the lack of confidence is expected to happen to everyone just like Lionel Messi’s form last season.
Do you think Cristiano Ronaldo at the moment is at the top of his confidence? It happens to all of us. Lionel Messi last season was pretty much the same. You have to take a step in the right direction and when you’re ready, it’s back [the confidence]. Even when we were 3-2 up against Brighton, we gave them an attack and the confidence was gone. In individual sports, you can fight yourself through it. In team sports, you have to do it together. It can be more complicated.
Liverpool have been in poor form since the start of the 2022/23 football season in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
