Paris Saint-Germain striker Lionel Messi has made his mark in the history books of the UEFA Champions League.
The Argentinian was on the scoresheet during PSG’s Group 2 match against Maccabi Haifa on Wednesday 14 September 2022 at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 2.
Messi surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of having scored against more teams than any other player in Champions League history. Both players had scored against 38 teams heading into the game, Messi has now scored against 39 teams.
