Manchester United has revealed Antony’s jersey number, who joined the club from Ajax.
The announcement was made on the Red Devils’ official website on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, ahead of their game against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
On Thursday, September 1st, 2022, the Manchester club made the announcement on its official website. According to Old Trafford reports, the player agreed to a five-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2027. Manchester United reportedly paid £85 million for the player, the highest fee ever paid for a Dutch league player.
Antony is well-known for the goals and assists he provides on the field whenever he is called upon. He had 31 goals and 27 assists for Ajax and Sao Paulo, as well as two goals and two assists for the Brazilian senior national team.
