The Premier League body have announced the winner of the player of the month for September 2022.
Manchester United’s forward player, Marcus Rashford, forward made the announcement on its official website on Friday, September 30th, 2022. The English player was named the winner of the award following his performance against Arsenal and Leicester City in September.
Rashford expressed his delight upon winning the award and also appreciated the effort that his teammates have shown in recent games. This is the first time the English player won the award since January 2019.
It’s a good feeling. We didn’t start the season so strongly so to get four wins on the bounce is really good. It’s still fairly new with the manager and we’ve got much better at doing the things he wants us to. But there are still a lot of steps to take and we’re all looking forward to doing that together.
The 24-year-old won the award at the expense of Phillip Billing, Kevin De Bruyne, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Alex Iwobi and Jacob Ramsey.
