Rae Sremmurd Holds Water Drive For The Residents Of Jackson, Mississippi
In order to arrange a water drive for their fellow Mississippians who are now without access to adequate drinking water, Rae Sremmurd teamed up with Making Wishes Matter on September 14. Rapping celebrities gave 100 water filters and more than 2 trucks’ worth of cases of water to the elderly, and they also asked their followers to help out. The bounty was then individually distributed to needy communities by Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee.
The hip-hop duo was welcomed by friends and admirers who came out in large numbers to support the cause. To spread the word, Jxmmi uploaded a video from the event to Instagram. He said, “We’re at the truck.” “Man, we have enough of water! Shoutout to everyone who showed up and danced. plenty of water We’re headed to Jackson. Let’s obtain it. The Pearl River flooding in August, which left more than 150,000 locals searching for drinking water, is what caused this issue.
Rae Sremmurd’s involvement in the community follows the release earlier this year of the singles “Community D***” and “Denial,” their first songs together in more than four years. Before then, the brothers established themselves as the best hip-hop harmonizers, scoring a string of successes starting with 2014’s “No Flex Zone.” Their first two albums, SremmLife (2015) and SremmLife 2, both of which were Gold-certified, produced the group’s first No. 1 single, “Black Beatles,” with Gucci Mane’s assistance.
