Graham Potter faces a repeat of his first game as Chelsea leader when he heads to Austria on Tuesday to face Red Bull Salzburg.
The Blues sparked fears of elimination from the Champions League with that 1-1 draw, but two wins over AC Milan have since put Chelsea first in Group E and a win would guarantee their qualification for the next round.
They will face a side from Salzburg that are still unbeaten in Europe but has drawn three of their four matches, with a damaging draw at Dinamo Zagreb, leaving work to progress to the knockout-out phase.

Salzburg’s injury problems are not getting any easier. Midfielder Luca Sucic is the latest doubter with a muscle injury, and while there is some confidence he will be fit, the youngster is at risk of joining Justin Omoregie, Fernando, Ousmane Diakite, Nicolas Capaldo, Sekou Koita, and Dijon Kameri on the sidelines.
Veteran Captain Andreas Ulmer is optimistic that a recent blow won’t stop him from starting here.

Despite their unbeaten run under Potter, things aren’t quite right for Chelsea on both sides of the pitch and their tactical imbalance against Man Utd will leave the boss wondering how best to line up his side against another team that would like the midfield to be overloaded.

We have seen earlier this season that Salzburg are able to get something against Chelsea if they are not at their best, and they will appreciate their chances of scoring at least one goal.
Chelsea isn’t scoring too freely at the moment, but they will expect to find their shooting boots against this caliber of opponents and work their way into the next round of the Champions League.
