According to reports, Chelsea and England defender Reece James is set to become the highest-paid defender in Chelsea FC history following new terms agreed with the club regarding his future.
According to Simon Johnson of The Athletic, the new multi-year contract offered to Reece by Chelsea will be announced in the coming days, making the 22-year-old the highest-paid defender in the club’s history.
This comes after Chelsea confirmed Armando Broja’s contract extension, and all indications are that Reece James will also sign a long-term contract with the Blues. Chelsea would also like to extend the contracts of Mason Mount and a few other young players on the team.
