Temilade Openiyi, often known as Tems, has explained why she has not been active on social media.
The singer has had an incredible year, winning two accolades at the 2022 BET Awards and garnering nominations for the Billboard Music Awards and MTV VMAs.
However, she just lost a category at the MTV VMAs to Trinidadian superstar Nicki Minaj.
Yesterday, August 30, 2022, the soulful vocalist, who has been MIA on social media, made a Twitter appearance.
She expressed her excitement to be returning by stating that she had been away from the stage because of the time she had to give up on her music career.
She hinted at ‘cooking’ new music but didn’t disclose more details.

A Fan quoted her tweet asking her; “Why you de type like this?”
She replied;
“I just I love it with my life.”
Another fan accused of being absent on social media because of sex and the “Damages” crooner neither denied or confirmed the news but instead asked;
“Hm! How you take know?”
In another tweet, she expressed her love for her fans, writing; “I love you guys I swear😂😂😂”
