#USOpen: Carlos Alcaraz Equals Rafael Nadal’s 17-year-old Record
He became the youngest tennis player to reach the final of any Grand Slam final since Rafael Nadal achieved that feat at the 2005 French Open. The 19-year-old achieved this feat by beating Francis Tiafoe of the United States of America, in a thrilling five-set match which lasted for over four hours, 6-7, 6-3,6-1,7-6,6-3.
On September 11th, 2022, Alcaraz will face Norway’s Casper Ruud in the US Open final. Both players have never won a grand slam title in their careers, and the winner of the match will be the new World No. 1 tennis player.
